This bronze bust was commissioned by a local comittee in Taughmaconnell to remember  John Downey who came from the town and in becoming Governor of Califoria was the first non American Governor. Unveiled by US Ambassador Dan Rooney. Location - Taughmaconnell, Co. Roscommon. Life-size.
